Minor Setback

Sorry i’ve been in an emergency trip out of town since last wednesday, by emergency i mean it wasn’t planned, i’ll be back tomorrow monday and i’ll retake work right away, next post will surely be the demo, so please don’t kill me.

I hope the wait and all this problems were worth it when you finally get to play it, and i hope i’m not driving people away, but man, you don’t know, you don’t know.

Also, a little bird told me this is also considered as a ryona game, didn’t know that, i guess i did but didn’t know the “genre” had a name.

This is the winner of the so called “contest” i did, made by Xblurp, so there, happy congrat… christmas, whatever.

Since there are not enough entries to make a poll i just chose it myself… i know what you’re thinking so allow me to explain, i know the other one was technically better, but this one does look more like a simple yet threatening monster, a normal goon you could say, while mini cthulu by Insanitylass looks more like it should be a major enemy, way more threatening and even powerful, the sole knowledge of it’s existence could destroy your mind (*wink*), i do like it a lot too so to thank both of you for participating i will use it too for later on in the game, but Xblurp is the official winner, even your slime suggestion/joke could come in handy later, never tought about that cause it is so common but it goes perfect with a particular area.

As for the game, been working on the demo and it’s looking like an actual game now but i still wanna add more conent, most of all i’ve been changing and retouching some gfx and adding new ones of course, that’s why it’s takling longer than i expected, some changes won’t even be noticeable but in my opinion they make it look better, i think it probably will be ready for next week, but please don’t hold your breath, your brain could die out of lack of oxigen.

Anyway, finally doing some progress on the hentai content, i’ve had this for a few days now and i still see something wrong with it, but i can’t pinpoint exactly what, maybe the bouncing, i’m not sure, you tell me…

Flash sucks at exporting gifs… and i hate this monster, it looks so stupid, don’t know what i was thinking, so make a better design for this monster, you can use anything: paint, flash, pen and paper then scan or take a picture, photoshop, 3ds studio max, maya, mudbox, zbrush, autocad… anything, just don’t go overboard with it, good or bad drawing i still will have to transfer it into my drawing, so basically i’ll redraw it, my monstesrs are not that nice but i’ll have to keep it consistent (line thikness, colors, etc), besides i’ll have to animate it, the idea is not to make the best drawing ever but to make a better design than mine (not difficult i know)… if you have to explain it do so, but draw something for me to have as a base.

Anyone can join, as i said, drawing skills don’t matter, just a general idea is fine, but some drawing please, no drawing, no go… and your own drawing, don’t explain how it will be with other people’s drawings.

Make your drawing idle stance sprite-like looking slightly to the left or right, not looking to the front, like mine but more to the left.

This is the most common monster in the game so don’t make it too crazy, just a regular monster but interesting.

Keep the same desing in mind, Tentacles, Non humanoid, Same height (see screnshots for reference), other than that, change whatever you want… even if you want to remove the tentacles is fine.

Think about it’s primary way of attacking, it doesn’t deal much damage beacuse well… it’s the first monster, mine did some whip attack with those tentacles, keep it the same or do something else, whatever.

I think that’s it, i’ll take this contest as a refernce for participation to see if i should do this more often or what, in the meanwhile i have to finish the you know what, and probably include this new design there, if this goes well, next one is going to be Boss Design Contest.

Back on track…. damn it!!!!

Almost 4 months without a full equipped computer, only a laptop every other day… it sucked i can tell you that.

So…. a lot of things happened and are still happening, this year my luck has been stupidly aweful, but at least i’m somehow back… not entirely free tho, i failed on my presentation so  due date was posponed a couple of months, whatever, but at least i can work  on it now…

The worst thing about it is that i’ve been out for so long that remembering codes and retaking work isn’t going to be that easy, also, looking back, i’m not liking my drawing style that much anymore, do you? is not like i can do any better right now, but not as good as i remember… some people have said to me that the previous version looked better (see pic below), i don’t think so, they are probably crazy…

That death on the picture is going to be removed BTW, so there it is… already taking out content yay…

Edit: Actually paused until i upgrade this thing, i was testing another board i had lying around and i think i fried my procesor too so there, sorry for the vagueness but this sucks.

Edit 2: Just so you know, the game is not dead yet and i’m not dead either, just very very annoyed, it’s been a while but i will continue as soon as i can, right now i just can’t…. stupid real life…

Edit 3, March 3: I’ve been lurking around and i’ve seen some good H and G games in progress and, do you even want my game now?? ha well, i’m still away but the problem is not really my PC now, remember that final project thing??, yeah… i’m a lazy bastard when it comes to studies and real work but i’m forced to do it, there’s no other choice, anyway, i’m supossed to be finishing that thing by the end of march, i’ll be back way before that i hope, but on that date i’ll be completely free of responsabilities, until i have to get a job of course… nghgnhgh…. if you still care check in by then for news, but i should be working on the game a couple of weeks before that… i hope.

I removed the poll, i forgot about that but is not needed anymore cause it is decided what i’m doing.

The Megaupload link for the early demo doesn’t work, you probably know why by now, i should remove it, i’m not uploading it myself again, cause i can’t right now, and i hate it, it’s just not a good representation of the actual game (well, it kinda is but not quite), and it has nothing really, if someone wants to reupload it for the people who missed it, go ahead, but even if it takes a while, i would suggest you to wait… my fault i know.

I’m not losing motivation or anything, the game is still going strong, in my head at least, actually i have some new ideas now, i even planned a whole new game for later (about 90% of it actually), but i’m not letting this one die out just yet, so yeah… i’ll be back later… soon i hope.

Edit 4, April 11: Well… ugh… expect news by friday maybe monday? stupid delivery, i just hope to satan my CPU still works, otherwise… just… ngnhnghngh…

Name and content and problems…

 

What the hell???? In two days that poll went crazy… it looks suspicious… mhh…

Anyways… there are several issues to attend… first of all content, ok, obviously there’s going to be both now, i’ve been thinking about it, reading some suggestions and the poll obviously… so, there you go.

To the hentai people i wanna ask, are you ok with what you’ve seen in that bare demo thing i posted before? because that’s what i will do, that’s old tho, so i think i can do a bit better now,  but what i mean by that is i won’t be doing full screen CG drawings like those japanese wizards do, i have not enough skill, nor time, nor skill to do that, if you like what i got there, then we’re good to go (let me now about the monster balls too, nnggnhh, don’t now what i was thinking)… obviously this means there will be more content to draw and code, so… yeah.

I haven’t decided if i’m going to censor some stuff by choice, or if will let it run as it is to have it all mixed up… since gore/hentai won censor probably won’t be necessary,  but still, i’ll put it if i feel like it at the end.

Also, as you can see that up there is the provisional name of the game, do you like it? do you want a new one? I’m ok if you have suggestions, i kinda like this one, but i could go back to the original name “prisonkage” too tho, which one do you like better?

More important, i have a big problem right now, i’m having mother board problems, the mouse stopped working, only a wireless one works right now, and sometimes it takes a while to be detected, then the audio just disapeared, there’s no error messages or driver problems, it just doesn’t work anymore, and my internet connection disconnects by itself for no reaosn at all every so often, i have to, not even restart, but shut down completly my pc and then turn it on again for it to reconnect, and i’m fucking tired and annoyed to no end with that, it’s just so… STUPID… so i’ll have to get a new board soon… i’m still able to work tho, but not at the same speed or with the same motivation, i just hate this fucking computer right now i want to toss it out the window… AGHRHGHRGHRH!!!!1

I still wanna upload a demo soon, but i’ll just shut up about it and i won’t say anything else until i’m sure is coming, so please bear with me.

I had a philosophical discussion about guro, hentai, personal preferences and my actual thoughts and limits about it planned, buuuuut, maybe later, if you still care of course… right now is just GAhahghgaAAhga!!!1

Hey there.

I just got back from a holiday trip and….. it was painful… sigh… and as expected i wasn’t able to work on the game because of that … sorry…. but i will be retaking work from today on and, i don’t wanna promise anything but i think  i have enough material to put a demo together  and release it a couple of weeks from now (maybe, i hope). So if you’re still interested in this sinful filth stay tuned for that, also i’ll be making a characters page in the next few days, and soon an ideas page, but i should leave that for after the demo so you can have a better idea on how the game is actually going to work.

Sorry for this mini update, but from now on without all that social craziness things should go better.

Also, i need more questions for the FAQ section, so you know what to do.
